National Food Rescue & Distribution Network
Hunger Aid Food Rescue & Distribution Network
Connecting surplus food from farms, grocers, restaurants, schools, and institutions with verified receiving organizations — all 50 states, DC, and territories.
DO NOT ARRIVE WITH AN UNCONFIRMED FOOD DONATION. Submit a Food Rescue Alert first so we can check receiving capacity before food moves.
Two Sides of the Same Mission
You have surplus food and want to donate it. Farms, grocers, restaurants, schools, events, institutions — submit a Food Rescue Alert so we can match your surplus with verified receiving capacity.
You or someone you know needs food assistance. Find H.E.L.P connects individuals and families with food pantries, food banks, and community resources near them.
Both sides connect through Hunger Aid — the supply-side network and the need-side directory work together to move food from where it is to where it is needed.

Register Receiving Capacity
Food pantries, food banks, community kitchens, and organizations with capacity to receive food donations — register your capacity here. Hunger Aid will verify your information and connect you with food offers that match your capacity.
Volunteer: Transportation, Harvesting & Distribution
If you can provide transportation, help with harvesting, or assist with food distribution, volunteer with Hunger Aid. Tell us your skills, location, and availability and we will match you with opportunities.
Volunteer With Hunger AidCapacity Gaps We Are Working to Fill
The Hunger Aid Food Rescue & Distribution Network identifies capacity gaps — areas where the infrastructure to move food does not yet exist. These gaps become opportunities for chapters, partners, sponsors, and community leaders to build what is missing.
The Hunger Aid Food Rescue & Distribution Network operates nationally — all 50 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. Every food offer and every receiving capacity registration is reviewed by Hunger Aid staff before food moves.
Hunger Aid operates under the Bill Emerson Good Samaritan Food Donation Act, which provides federal protection for good-faith food donors. All food donations are subject to Hunger Aid food safety standards. Hunger Aid does not guarantee acceptance of any food offer. Submission of a Food Rescue Alert does not constitute a commitment to accept food. Confirmation is required before food moves.
Ready to Make a Difference?
Whether you have surplus food to donate, capacity to receive, or time to volunteer — there is a place for you in the Hunger Aid Food Rescue & Distribution Network.
